The Sooncanoo system was located in the Northern Dependencies portion of the Inner Rim.[1] During the Waymancy Storm[2] of 7811 BBY,[3] the star system contained the Galactic Republic hyperspace beacon known as Sooncanoo Beacon.[2] The system later fell within the borders of the New Republic between 12 ABY and 13 ABY.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Sooncanoo system was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed it in grid square K-8.[4]
