A sonic oscillator was a blaster component that could be use to install an power blast module in a VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the Chadra-Fan Ank Parako had acquired at least one sonic oscillator that had been modified and was highly volatile.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] Parako gave the volatile sonic oscillator to the scoundrel Kay Vess after she helped rescue Ank from the Ashiga weapons factory and helped her complete a job to stage a coup in the Ashiga Clan.[1]
Behind the scenes
A sonic oscillator appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It is mentioned in the summary of "Power Blast Kit" item that the player is given for completing "The Hive" main quest.[1]
