Song for a Fallen Nomad" is a short narrative story published in
The Star Wars Sourcebook in
1987. The story details the exploits of young
Tatooine moisture farmer Wenny Boggs as he encounters a
Tusken Raider mourning the
death of an elder. It was reprinted in the
second edition of the book in
1994.
Plot summary
Wenny Boggs finds himself in Tatooine's desert as night falls, and holes up rather than risking becoming a victim of Tusken Raider. During the night, Boggs is awakened by a mournful singing. Following the sound, he watches as a Tusken Raider mourns the passing of an elder.[1]
