Sommato birds were a type of bird found on the tropical planet Akiva, where they lived near large bodies of freshwater. Their scaly skin was gray on their back, head, and wings while the birds' underside was yellow and their feathers red. The birds also possessed black beaks, eyes, and feet, the latter of which had large webbing that made sommato birds excellent at swimming and diving.[1]
