The soldier beetle was an aggressive beetle that existed within the galaxy. The beetle possessed four legs which each had claws on them. The short-ranged personal transport shuttle, the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, was based off of the soldier beetle.[1]
Behind the scenes
The soldier beetle was first mentioned in "Miscellaneous Ships and Vehicles (2),"[1] a booklet in a series of reference booklets titled the Star Wars Encyclopedia, published by De Agostini on July 29, 2022.[2]
