The solar ionization cannon was a powerful weapon used by both the bounty hunter Montross on his starship, Hell's Anvil,[1] and by Darth Maul on his Sith infiltrator, the Scimitar.[2] It featured a power hungry, high intensity beam of ionized light that could bypass conventional shields, and melt durasteel.
