Soccer was a sport that involved kicking a ball in order to hit it into a goal. At least one participant would make an attempt to block the ball from entering the goal, and using the Force to do this was against the rules. The Whiphid Padawan Jempa had utilized his lightsaber to stop the ball at multiple points in time, forcing him to repeatedly buy a new ball to replace the ones he destroyed.[1]
At another point in time, Jempa, a human Padawan, a Nautolan Padawan, and a Togruta Padawan played soccer together. During the game, Jempa used the Force to catch a ball kicked by the Nautolan, prompting dissent from the Togruta. Jempa apologized and stated he had done so on impulse. The Togruta then expressed relief that Jempa had at least not used his lightsaber, while the Nautolan commented that Jempa was tired of buying new balls.[1]
