Sobel Zeelesi was a red-spined Rodian male who lived during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. A criminal with ties to arms dealers and smugglers, by 32 BBY Zeelesi had been linked to a series of attacks that destroyed or severely damaged key facilities of the Republic Security Force. For these crimes, a bounty was placed on his head by the RSF offering 1,000 credits for his capture alive and 500 credits dead.[1]

When the bounty was placed, Zeelesi and his old partner Burbakker Teep were working with the smugglers of Muttani crime boss Meeko Ghintee's syndicate. The Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett ran into Zeelesi on Outland Station in the changing rooms of the station's pit training yard. Zeelesi shot at Fett with his blaster pistol while the three Gamorreans guarding him rushed the Mandalorian. Having been informed of Zeelesi's bounty by the Toydarian owner of the station, Rozatta, Jango captured him alive for 1,000 credits.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Sobel is the third or fourth of five possible secondary bounties that a player can secure in the pit fighters' training area section of Chapter One. Players have the option of taking him alive or killing him; however, as Sobel was worth 1,000 credits alive and only 500 dead, this article assumes Fett took him alive for the higher reward.[1]
