Snak-pods were a type of food that members of the rebel Maya Pei Brigade who had survived an ambush[1] in 4 BBY[2] had available while they were stranded on the moon Yavin 4. After the group split into two factions, the portion led by the human Gerdis had fourteen snak-pods between them, although eight of them were wet and potentially moldy.[1]
