Sludge panther

The sludge panther was a dangerous carnivorous predator native to the planet of Talus.^[2] The sludge panthers lived in swamps and dank jungles of Talus. They often rolled around in mud to mask its scent when hunting.^[3] They lived in small packs, females usually hunted for food while males protected the nests and young from predators.^[2] A larger subspecies of the common sludge panther was the greater sludge panther.^[1] The sludge panther was distantly related to the Corellian sand panther.^[3]

History

Prior to the Galactic Civil War, a large pack of sludge panthers attacked and overran the village of Durbin on Talus, killing most of its inhabitants.^[4]
