The Skysitter Restaurant was a revolving restaurant stood near the Nicandra Counterrevolutionary Signalmen's Memorial Building in the upscale Federal District of Galactic City, the ecumenopolis covering the capital of the Galactic Republic, Coruscant. Standing atop a 1000 meter (3,280 feet) spire, the establishment was patronised by only the wealthiest senators from the Republic's Galactic Senate. Shortly after a failed attempt to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala.[1] in 22 BBY,[2] the assassin droid ASN-121 passed by the building while the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was hanging onto the droid.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Skysitter Restaurant was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. It was part of material reprinted[1] from the restaurant's first mention in the Star Wars Legends continuity: the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Curtis Saxton and Simon Beecroft, and illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen.[3]
