- "Get up and take the blaster. Whoever comes in here, shoot them and wait for me."
"Yes, sir." - ―Iskat Akaris and Sixty-Seven
Sixty-Seven was a Purge Trooper who served in the Inquisitorius of the Galactic Empire.
Biography
Early life
The clone trooper who came to be known in the Inquisitorius as Sixty-Seven was, like the rest of his clone brothers, created from the genetic template of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett in the clone factories of the planet Kamino.[1] As a Purge Trooper, Sixty-Seven was part of the last production line of clone troopers[3] and served as part of an expendable death squad for the Inquisitors.[3]
Mission to Firrhana
- "You."
"Yes, sir."
"I'm going to need your armor." - ―Iskat Akaris and Sixty-Seven
The Inquisitor Iskat Akaris, Sixty-Seven's superior.
Sometime between 19 and 14 BBY,[4] Sixty-Seven was part of a Purge Trooper detachment that accompanied the Inquisitor Iskat Akaris on her Jedi-hunting mission to Firrhana aboard the Scythe. Upon approach to the planet, they received a ping with coordinates; Akaris landed there only to find another Inquisitor, Tualon Yaluna, with whom she briefly exchanged barbs before taking off again in search of where the Jedi had gone to ground. She soon found a likely place in the form of a decrepit Sith temple and landed nearby, leaving Sixty-Seven and the others aboard while she scouted ahead, discovering that temple was being used as a fortress by Lord Jakadis, a bounty hunter who dealt in captured Jedi and Jedi artifacts.[2]
Akaris' rival, Tualon Yaluna.
After returning to the ship, Akaris disguised herself with Sixty-Seven's armor and a spare body glove, giving him some of her extra clothes to wear. As she intended to pretend that he was a Jedi that she had caught, she carried his blaster and had him put on wrist binders, a command which annoyed the clone as he disliked being restrained. She also pulled Sixty-Seven's hood down low to obscure his facial tattoo. Akaris then dragged the trooper by one leg across the ground back toward the fortress and told the protocol droid over the intercom at the door that she had brought a captured Jedi named Tualon Yaluna for his master.[2]
Once they were allowed inside and vocally directed to the audience chamber, Akaris disabled the room's cameras with the Force and gave Sixty-Seven his blaster back, directing him to wait for her return and to shoot anyone else who entered. She also gave him back his armor and left in search of the Jedi. Akaris eventually returned, having killed the three Jedi on-planet as well as Jakadis himself. As she and Sixty-Seven left the fortress, Akaris called Yaluna on her comlink and informed him that she had slain his target as well as hers. Yaluna was unsurprised that Akaris was unwilling to share the credit with him and declared that he would someday prove his worth on his own, mentioning his interest in her while wondering how she might be seduced. After Yaluna had ended the call, his ship could be seen leaving the planet as Akaris and Sixty-Seven approached their own. The mission complete, they returned to Coruscant.[2]
Personality and traits
As a Purge Trooper, Sixty-Seven was created as part of the last production line of clone troopers[3] from the template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett.[1] Like all Purge Troopers, he was bald[3] and sported a red facial tattoo on the right side of his face. He spoke only when spoken to, even then in brief affirmations. While he was completely obedient to the orders given to him by Iskat Akaris, Sixty-Seven was somewhat irritated by the command to restrain himself with binders.[2]
Equipment
Sixty-Seven wore the black body glove, armor and kamas utilized by Purge Troopers and carried a blaster.[3][2]
Behind the scenes
Sixty-Seven first appeared in Delilah S. Dawson's novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, which was published on July 18, 2023.[5]
