- "If those Sithspit keep buzzing over the place, I'll lose all of my business!"
- ―8D-J8
"Sithspit" was a phrase used to express a displeasure or anger at something or someone. Sometime during 34 ABY,[2] the smelter droid 8D-J8 lashed out, calling them "sithspit" when he noticed a First Order shuttle above his business, exclaiming that the First Order will cause him to go out of business.[1] It could also be used to express that something was untrue, such as "What a load of Sith spit", said by Gora.[3] The variant sithspitting was used as a derogatory modifier.[4]
Behind the scenes
"Sithspit" first canonically appeared in Galaxy's Edge 1, a comic written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Will Sliney, and published by Marvel Comics on April 24, 2019.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, "Sithspit" first appeared in X-Wing: The Bacta War, a novel written by Michael A. Stackpole[6] and published by Bantam Spectra in February 1997.[7]
