Simon Greyshade's B69 Elektra airspeeder

This apparently modified B69 Elektra airspeeder^[1] belonged to Senator Simon Greyshade in 23 BBY.^[2] It matched much of the appearance of his prized XJ-6 airspeeder; notable differences between the two included additional seating and a different paint job uncommon to the senator's standard scheme.^[3]

Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker utilized it to escort the senator to safety.^[2]

Behind the scenes

While this model is shown on the cover of the comic it appears in, a different speeder is shown in the comic itself. This change may be accidental on the part of the artists, as the speeder was later identified in Viva Space Vegas! The History of the Marvelous Wheel to be the speeder shown on the cover. Viva Space Vegas! The History of the Marvelous Wheel also was the first source to name of Greyshade's vehicle as a B69 Elektra airspeeder.
