- «Remeber old school Sabacc? Well, I was the reigning champion on my home planet for a while. Too bad it went out of style.»
- ―Sillin
Sillin was a Quarren who played Sabacc and became a reigning champion on their homeworld. In 3 ABY, the gambler played in Sheriff Quint Cresadde's Sabacc parlor in the town of Wayfar on the planet Tatooine, eventually losing to the thief Kay Vess in a game with Cressade and the Trandoshan Jurk.
Biography
- «I heard there was once a game of Sabacc lasted a whole cycle. No one would cash out, and they only stopped to sleep.»
- ―Sillin
Sillin was a Quarren who played the card game Sabacc, eventually becoming a reigning champion in one version of the game on their homeworld.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the version of the game that Sillin had been champion in had gone out of style and was considered old school, and the Quarren played other variants of the game instead, attempting to join an exclusive jhabacc club on several occasions but being rejected each time.[1]
In that year, Sillin played in an invite-only Kessel Sabacc parlor in the town of Wayfar on the desert planet Tatooine run by the town's sheriff, the Weequay Quint Cresadde. The Trandoshan Jurk also joined them at Cressade's table, and between games, Sillin and the Trandoshan shared stories about Sabacc, with the Quarren speaking about a game that had supposedly lasted an entire cycle, with players only breaking to sleep, and another in which a friend of the Quarren's saw a player win an entire planet.[1]
Having been invited by Cressade, the thief Kay Vess visited the parlor and played a game with Sillin, Jurk, and the sheriff. The game had a two-hundred credit buy-in and to make things more interesting, Cressade also added the materials needed to apply a "Golden Maru" paint job to Vess's S57 Cardinal speeder bike. Vess then won the game and claimed the pot.[1]
Personality and traits
- «Every few years we get some new style of Sabacc. I'm sick of it.»
- ―Sillin
Sillin disliked that the version of Sabacc that they had been a champion at went out of style and was sick of the fact that a new variant of the game was created every few years. The Quarren had brown skin, gray eyes, and spoke Huttese.[1]
Equipment
While at the Wayfar parlor, Sillin wore a tan tunic over a brown shirt with brown pants, a brown belt, and brown boots. The Quarren used the "Exhaustion," "Major Fraud," and "General Tariff" shift tokens while playing.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sillin appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game, Star Wars Outlaws. The character is only encountered by the player as part of the optional "Quint's Challenge" intel.[1]
