- «I've been trying to get into this exclusive jhabacc club, but they turn me away every time.»
- ―Sillin
Jhabacc was a high-stakes form of the card game sabacc. Favored guests played the game at the Outlander Club in the Uscru District of the planet Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic.[1] In 22 BBY,[3] a group of four patrons were playing jhabacc at one of the tables for high prestige guests in the club's private bar while the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi interrogated the bounty hunter Zam Wesell outside the club.[1]
The Quarren gambler Sillin repeatedly tried to join an exclusive jhabacc club, but was rejected each time.[2] In 3 ABY,[4] Sillin complained about it while sat at the table of the Sabacc parlor in the town of Wayfar on the planet Tatooine with Sheriff Quint Cresadde and the Trandoshan Jurk.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, jhabacc was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. The image showing jhabacc[1] was illustrated by Hans Jenssen[5] and was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton and marked the first mention of the game in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[6]
