Shumogi was a terrestrial celestial body[2] located in the Shumogi system. It was a part of the Southern Core portion of the Core Worlds.[1] During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Shumogi was under the Empire's control and was the site of the Imperial Ordnance Research Facility, at which the Human Golanda was employed[2] at some point by 0 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Shumogi was first mentioned in The Jedi Academy Sourcebook, which was written by Paul Sudlow and published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Shumogi system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square M-12.[1]
