Shroom steak was a type of steak made on the planet Drongar that was served in the chow hall of Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7, a field hospital located on the planet during the Clone Wars.[1] In the year 20 BBY,[2] the Human Chief Surgeon Jos Vondar had a meal of shroom steaks and hawk-bat eggs in the chow hall, and found the steaks to be palatable since they were local.[1]
Behind the scenes
Shroom steaks first appeared in MedStar I: Battle Surgeons, a 2004 Clone Wars novel written by Steve Perry and Michael Reaves as the first part of the MedStar Duology.[1]
