A swoop biker wearing a shock-helmet
Shock-helmets were headgear worn by some swoop drivers. Many members of swoop gangs on Tatooine wore tall shock-helmets.[1]
Behind the scenes
Concept art of the rider
The swoop biker wearing this helmet could first be glimpsed briefly in the Special Edition of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Concept art of this biker drawn by TyRuben Ellingson[2] showed a complete detailed view of the character and his helmet. Another piece shows two riders instead of one, both wearing similar outfits.[3] The helmet was later named in the Special Edition Limited set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[1]
