The shipyards of Exegol were secret subterranean shipyard[2] forges[1] and factories[3] located on the Unknown Regions planet Exegol,[2] in the Forbidden District,[1] that produced Xyston-class Star Destroyers.[2] The decrepit shipyard forges were originally from the time of the old Sith Wars for the control of the galaxy. After Darth Sidious ascended to power, he modernized these facilities as part of his long-term Contingency plan, in order to keep a bastion of power that his Imperial cronies were unaware of. Secret shipments of material from corporate allies of Sidious were used to update these facilities to produce Xyston-class Star Destroyers and TIE/dg starfighters. Once activated, the shipyards could work tirelessly, out of sight from the New Republic.[1]
