Ship of the line

A ship of the line,^[1] or ship-of-the-line, was a term for Imperial Navy vessels. Theoretically, vulture droid starfighters were outmatched by Imperial ships-of-the-line. During the battle over Umbara, vulture droids engaged the ships-of-the-line of Admiral Carlou Gendling's task force.^[2] Venator-class Star Destroyers where considered ships of the line.^[1]
