X2 disabling a shield corridor
- "A transport has already left Desolation Station with the final superlaser component, it's currently en-route to the Death Star construction site. My immediate concern is the shield corridor protecting the transport. There is no way of getting on board the vessel with the shield corridor still active."
- ―Rahm Kota
A shield corridor was a field of protective energy that was projected into a tunnel shape. Desolation Station projected a shield corridor that was capable of encompassing an Imperial heavy transport. Once activated, cargo from the station was transferred to the transport via tractor beams. While the shield corridor was activated, the transport inside couldn't be boarded and the transfer of cargo couldn't be disrupted. Rebel agent X2 was only able to hijack an Imperial heavy transport once he infiltrated Desolation Station and disabled the corridor.[1]
