Shard was an individual who served in the Grand Army of the Republic with Jedi Master Darrus Jeht during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems,[1] which spanned from 22 BBY to 19 BBY.[2] They acted as the leader of Jeht's[1] clone troopers.[3] At some point during the war, Shard commented on how Jeht seemed more relaxed when he was carrying out work on his starship, the Legacy—a sentiment Jeht agreed with.[1]
Behind the scenes
Shard was mentioned in "Priorities," an article written by August Hahn and Cynthia Hahn as a supplement to the Living Force roleplaying campaign. The article was published on the Wizards of the Coast website on October 28, 2004.[1] The short story "Living Force: Last Stand," released on February 1, 2007, features a clone commander leading Darrus Jeht's troops,[3] which Shard is established to be the leader of in "Priorities."[1] The short story does not provide any indication as to whether this clone commander is intended to be Shard.[3]
