- "Shadows Six, Seven, and Ten were caught in the ray."
- ―Ahsoka Tano
In 22 BBY,[3] a clone trooper pilot in the Galactic Republic's navy used the call sign "Shadow Ten." Flying a BTL-B Y-wing starfighter in Shadow Squadron, the clone pilot embarked on a mission with his starfighter unit to prevent the Confederate battleship the Malevolence from destroying the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center. Led by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, who had devised a plan to destroy the Malevolence, the clone troopers of the squadron piloted their bombers through the Kaliida Nebula, arriving at the medcenter just as the Confederate cruiser jumped out of hyperspace. General Grievous, the commander of the Malevolence, ordered one of the ship's ion cannons to fire at the nearing Republic squadrons. Shadow Ten's starfighter was disabled by the blast, leaving him and two other clone troopers floating in space while the remains of the squadron continued toward the Malevolence, eventually crippling its ion weapons.
Behind the scenes
Shadow Ten first appeared "Shadow of Malevolence," the third episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series' first season. Shadow Ten was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who voices all clone troopers in the show.[4]
