Servogrips were a type of droid hand used on a variety of models. Cybot Galactica incorporated heavy servogrips into the PD-series protocol droid design to help deal with the terrain on the planet Lur when the company intended to market the droid to the Lurrians. The servogrips could detach from the droid and be propelled by rocket jets, trailing a thin strong cable. This allowed the PD-series to move through vertical environments.[1]
2-1B surgical droids were equipped with precise servogrip pincers. They were capable of gentle movement when using medical tools such as laser scalpels.[1]
