- "They're using it to build a new mega-ion cannon under the directions of General Grievous and Count Dooku."
- ―Admiral Yularen
During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Separatist had a weapons factory on the planet Abrion Major. It sat on the center island of an archipelago in the Western sea. On top of a granary complex, it was converted into a weapons factory by the War Faction of the Separatist in order to produce a new mega-ion cannon. Abrion Bridge was the only accessible route to the factory and was used to supply it.[1] Around 22 BBY,[2] the Republic launched an attack on the bridge in order to acquire the plans to the cannon. The Republic was successful in the battle but suffered heavy losses.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Separatist weapons factory first appeared in the third issue of the comic miniseries Star Wars: Obi-Wan, which was published by Marvel Comics[1] on July 27, 2022.[3]
