Senior Lieutenant was a junior officer rank within the starfleet of the Galactic Empire. It ranked above Junior Lieutenant, and below captain.[1]
The Chiss Thrawn held the rank of Senior Lieutenant for a time before being promoted to captain. Thrawn would eventually rise to the rank of Grand Admiral.[1] Several officers aboard the Chimaera held this rank such as Pyrondi, Lomar and Xoxtin.[3] The rank also existed in the Imperial Starfighter Coprs, Iden Versio held it shortly before the Battle of Yavin,[4] as did Jeela Brebtin during her time as part of Squadron Five of the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing.[5]
