"I can't sell this! It looks suspicious. I don't have anything else that look like these random artifacts. They stick out."
"You sell all sorts of useless junk. The only difference is these 'random artifacts' are actually worth something. "

Selik's was a store operated by a Zabrak merchant named Selik Mynnabah in the Thieves' Quarter of Kijimi City on the Mid Rim planet Kijimi.

Description

Selik's was a store front that consisted of a singe stone building during the reign of the Galactic Empire in Thieves' Quarter of Kijimi City on the Mid Rim planet Kijimi.[1]

History

Selik's was operated by the Zabrak merchant Selik Mynnabah[1] in 3 ABY.[2] During which, Mynnabah sold exclusive items to members of the Ashiga Clan crime syndicate and its trusted freelancers. By 3 ABY, Mynnabah had fallen in debt to members of the Pyke Syndicate who used that debt to force Mynnabah to sell amulets secretly containing spice from Selik's.[1]

During that year, a member of the Ashiga Clan hired a human name Kay Vess to investigate reports that they have received on the flow of spice in the local black market; one of the few substances that the clan prohibited the smuggling of in the city. During her investigation, Vess overheard a Mynnabah complaining to a Pyke about having to sell the amulets and that they stood out a lot from the shop's normal stock. Vess later purchased the amulet and proceeded to confront Mynnabah on its true nature. Caught, Mynnabah admitted they didn't want to be apart of the scheme and asked Vess to understand their situation. Vess later returned to Ashiga myrmitrix that hired her who promised to shutdown the flow immediately.[1]

Behind the scenes

Selik's first appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It was one of several shops that the player could use to purchase various material such as Henku wool and bacta vials. The shop was also part of "The Real Black Market" intel quest which rewarded the player with an increase in their reputation with the Ashiga Clan.[1]
