A seismic pulse was an explosive charge which knocked back individuals around the trigger point, paralyzing them in the process.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] Doctor Chelli Aphra rigged a seismic pulse into the processing unit of the assassin droid 0-0-0 in hopes of using it when the pair's implanted proximity bombs had been unlinked. She ultimately when briefly under the custody of Captain Okma of the Galactic Empire's propaganda division, the Coalition for Progress, and his stormtroopers. The pulse left Aphra unconscious for three hours, being unable to move her legs for a short while after regaining consciousness.[1]

Behind the scenes

A seismic pulse appeared in the thirtieth issue of the 2016 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, written by Si Spurrier, illustrated by Emilio Laiso,[1] and published by Marvel Comics on March 27, 2019.[3]
