The Security Bureau was the Land & Sky Corporation's governmental department for security. Out of the four great families that dominated the Land & Sky corporation board of directors, the Xia family mainly controlled the bureau. Led by bureau chief Xia Yan, it boasted an armed and regimented security force that partolled the entire star system. Xia oversaw all of the bureau's branches, which covered major areas of the Aakaash system, such as the political capital planet Land, the economic center Wind, the Lake asteroid field, and the agricultural world of Mountain.[1]
