The Sector Committee was a part of the Imperial Bureau of Standards on Ghorman. In 3 BBY, Syril Karn convinced two guards at the entrance to the Imperial office complex in Palmo to let him in after-hours despite not having clearance to do so by telling the guards that he had a meeting with the Sector Committee the following day and needed his notes on his desk.[1]

The Sector Committee was mentioned in "Ever Been to Ghorman?" an episode in the second season of the live-action series Star Wars: Andor which was released on Disney+[1] on April 29, 2025.[2]
