- Avar Kriss: "The first step—the thing we can focus on now—is finding and stopping Marchion Ro."
- Amadeo Azzazzo: "You think we can?"
- Vernestra Rwoh: "We have to."
- ―Jedi Master Avar Kriss, Jedi Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo, and Vernestra Rwoh[1]
In 228 BBY,[2] the Jedi Order undertook a search for Marchion Ro in an attempt to hunting down and stopping Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro. After they were provided a series of locations Ro had visited by Nihil Minister of Information Ghirra Starros, the Jedi determined he was investigating a plague known as the blight which they also believed could be linked with a reappearance of the Drengir sentient carnivorous plants. After choosing the planet Vixoseph I as a location that Ro could visit, a group of Jedi and Republic Defense Coalition forces headed to the planet. While Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh did encounter the Eye on Vixoseph I, he ultimately escaped. The following day, Ro himself arrived on[1] the Core Worlds planet[4] Coruscant, informing the Jedi and Republic that he was their only hope of defeating the blight plague that had been appearing across the galaxy.[1]
Behind the scenes
The search for Marchion Ro first appeared in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5]

As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, it must be set in 228 BBY.
