Sean Barton edited the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[1] Barton and director Richard Marquand assembled the directors cut of the film and screened it for producers George Lucas and Howard G. Kazanjian, and fellow editors Marcia Lucas and Duwayne Dunham on August 19, 1982. The cut was 127 minutes long and contained no visual effect shots.[2]
