The Scythe IV was a G1-M4-C Dunelizard fighter in service during the Galactic Civil War. It was the personal starship of Hortrix Steelarm, a smuggler working for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Hortrix Steelarm was killed sometime after the Battle of Yavin when the Scythe IV was destroyed by a pilot working for the rival Valarian Syndicate.[1]

The Scythe IV appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Scythe IV was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004.[1]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
