Scraaz was a Rodian smuggler who betrayed the Exchange[1] criminal syndicate[2] roughly a decade prior to[1] 3643 BBY. By that year[3] he had become tired of being on the run and wished to hire someone to slice into official records to list him as dead.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

Around the year 3643 BBY,[3] an individual associated with one of the two opposing governments in the then-ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to assist Scraaz. The companion sliced into official databanks to plant falsified records that detailed Scraaz suddenly dying and forged electronic documents to give the Rodian a new identity.[1]

Behind the scenes

Scraaz was mentioned in the Crew Skill Mission "Dead and Gone" in the 2011 BioWare video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, though the information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

  3. 3.0 3.1 Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Dead and Gone" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
