Scissors (tactic)

Scissors^[1] was a starfighter tactic used by Captain Wedge Antilles and the Rebel pilots serving under him. The tactic consisted of a series of parries an X-wing starfighter would perform when an enemy ship left the starfighter's turning radius. Once a set of scissor maneuvers was complete, the starfighter would have completely changed positions, now able to destroy the enemy starship from behind.^[2]
