Scarlet Hark was a female Human agent who worked for the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Hark undertook numerous covert missions for the Alliance, including one where she worked with Han Solo on Cioran to retrieve information from famed navigator Essio Galassian that led them partner with Leia Organa Solo on the planet Kiamurr, where they obtained the location of a hyperspace nullifier superweapon created by the long extinct K'kybak. Escaping an Imperial fleet, they fled to Seymarti V, which held the nullifier. While Organa and Hark originally wanted to claim the weapon for the Alliance, Solo was less willing to do so, especially as Imperial forces bore down. The Alliance party confronted and killed Galassian and Solo destroyed the hyperspace nullifier, which destabilized Seymarti V. Hark and the others then fled back to the Alliance fleet.
Biography
In 0 ABY, she was on an undercover mission on Cioran to discover secrets learned by navigator Essio Galassian. Hark's mission was complicated when an amateur bounty hunter named Hunter Maas obtained the information first. She signaled for pickup and the Rebel Alliance sent Han Solo to Cioran to retrieve her. By that time, Hark had already abandoned her residence. Upon arrival on Cioran, Solo himself was detained by a rival bounty hunter, Baasen Ray, but managed to elude him and track down Hark by observing that she ordered the same dish from the same restaurant. He arrived in an Imperial uniform disguise, which gave Hark the idea of still attempting to carry out her mission with Solo's aid.[1]
Hark told a reluctant Solo that he needed to help her sneak into a data center to obtain valuable information on the theft of Galassian's material. Hark remarked that Solo's uniform was wrinkled and enjoyed observing him undressed while her droid associate CZ-33 pressed his clothes. Once CZ-33 had fabricated identification for the two of them, she manumitted him. Solo was very disagreeable about her plan but eventually relented. The two infiltrated the data center with Solo disguised as an Imperial officer and Hark as a maintenance worker. While they were able to bluff their way into the data center and obtain the data, doing so set off the alarms. The two fled upward to the top of the data center and were clinging to the antenna before Chewbacca arrived in the Millennium Falcon to retrieve them. The two jumped off the antenna and made their escape. A sizable Imperial force pursued them, but were called off by a falsified high priority signal sent by Ray, allowing Hark and Solo to escape. Ray, having been told of their mission by Solo, then used his deception as pretext to invite himself and his associate Sunnim aboard.[1]
