Scarl was the name of starship construction facilities located in the Scarl system, just parsecs from Fondor. Scarl was located on the restricted Gandeal-Fondor Hyperlane.
History
After the failure of the Sarlacc Project, the Galactic Empire installed this secret shipyard where began the construction of the Super Star Destroyer Executor.
It was from the still under construction Executor that Darth Vader dispatched his secret apprentice Galen Marek on a number of missions in 3 BBY.
After the Battle of Yavin, the Executor became the most important Imperial project and the Super Star Destroyer was towed to the largest Fondor Shipyards in order to accelerate its construction.
The Scarl shipyards were later reclaimed by the New Republic. Prior to the Orinda campaign, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Lusankya had been all but abandoned in the shipyards, used as a medical research facility.[2]
