The scar of remembrance was a vertical stripe of makeup in the center of the lower lip that symbolized the suffering endured by the Naboo people before the Great Time of Peace.[1] Some queens of Naboo wore it in red as part of their royal makeup, including Padmé Amidala,[2] Jamillia,[5] and Dalné.[6] During the Clone Wars, Neeyutnee painted hers in purple,[3] while Apailana wore blue at Amidala's funeral shortly after the war ended.[4] Sosha Soruna's scar of remembrance was deep red and extended down her chin.[7]
