Scamp's jackets were a type of clothing that was reinforced with medium armor such as armorweave. These jackets were commonly favored by criminals such as smugglers, who typically preferred to conceal their armor in most situations. The smuggler Ace wore a jacket of this make when they delivered a shipment of guns to Drelliad village on the planet Ord Mantell for Rendia Freight.
Behind the scenes
Scamp's jacket first appeared as an item of medium armor in the Massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars: The Old Republic published by BioWare in 2011. Players of the Smuggler class, the only class able to wear the jacket, began the game wearing the armor making it one of the weakest pieces of equipment in the game. Apart from starting with the armor or trading it from another player in the game there is no other way to obtain Scamp's jacket currently making it impossible for Imperial players to possess.
