- "Sason Temple is a Jedi prison!"
- ―Chelli Lona Aphra, after the release of the Starweird trapped in the temple
The Sason Temple was a Jedi prison[1] located on the backwater gas giant Sason. To open the temple, one had to be pure in heart and strong in the Force.[2] By 19 BBY,[3] the Jedi Masters Shaak Ti and Aayla Secura sealed a Starweird, a dangerous creature that resonated with the Force,[4] away in the Sason Temple.[1] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[5] the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra and Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker visited the temple and accidentally released the Starweird.[1] Skywalker and Aphra survived the encounter with the Starweird and defeated the creature.[4]
