Sarvchi was a planet located in the Sarvchi system, a part of the Unknown Regions' Chiss Space. It was situated on the hyperlane known as the Path of the Houses, which connected it to the Cioral and Copero systems.[1]
Constituting a part of the core territory of the Chiss Ascendancy, the interstellar state of the Chiss species, Sarvchi was the homeworld of the Chaf family, one of the Ascendancy's Ruling Families.[1] The planet was under Chaf control[2] and was a neutral world of representation for the non-Chiss species inhabiting the Ascendancy.[1] When, around 22 ABY,[4] Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano of the Chaf family sent a message addressed to the New Republic's Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, the sender of the communication was styled as "Chaf'orm'bintrano, Aristocra of the Fifth Ruling Family, Sarvchi."[3]
Behind the scenes
Sarvchi was first mentioned in the 2004 novel Survivor's Quest by Timothy Zahn.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed it in grid square F-9.[1]
