Sap Tap Cups were a type of drinking container which the Latero chef Hap served beverages in at his café in Kublop Springs on the Outer Rim planet Tenoo[2] by around 233 BBY.[4] The cup prominently featured a twisted straw and a handle.[2] Centuries later, in 34 ABY,[5] such cups were found on the Outer Rim planet Batuu at the restaurants Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters, both located in the settlement Black Spire Outpost. There, the cups were again used to serve beverages such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Diet Coke[1]

Behind the scenes

The Sap Tap Cup first appeared in the animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, in the episode "The Junk Giant," which released on May 4, 2023.[6] In 2024, it was announced that the cup would be available for purchase in the real world at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters in the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The cups debuted on May 4, 2024 for a limited time as souvenir cups that included a fountain drink of choice.[1]
