A sanger was a low-profile defensive position that could be constructed from rocks, logs, or other available objects. Clone commando RC-1136 was taught how to build a sanger by Mandalorian combat instructor Kal Skirata and built one from half-decayed logs while on a mission to[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Qiilura[1] in 22 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes
A sanger appeared in the 2004 novel Hard Contact, the first novel in the Republic Commando series written by Karen Traviss.[1] In real life, a Sangar is a similar fortification, albeit with a different spelling.[4]
