Sand skitters[2] were a type of small, brown-furred creature that could be found on the desert planet Tatooine. In 4 ABY, a worrt captured a sand skitter with its tongue outside the crime lord Jabba the Hutt's palace and devoured it.[1]
Behind the scenes
A sand skitter first appeared in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[1] The creature was named in the current canon in the video "Every Creature in the Star Wars Movies", which was released by the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel in 2019.[2]
