S1D6-SA-5

S1D6-SA-5 was a red-colored^[2] SA-5 protocol droid^[1] that saw use in a control hub of the Spice mines of Kessel. S1D6-SA-5 and the other droids used by the Pykes were freed in 10 BBY during an slave uprising started by the droid L3-37.^[3]

Behind the scenes

S1D6-SA-5 was portrayed by Stephanie Silva^[4] in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story. It appeared prior to the film's release in the "Kessel Run Millennium Falcon" LEGO set. The droid was identified only as "Kessel Operations Droid" by LEGO,^[5] but received a name in Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released alongside the film.^[2]
