The Ryyk Nebula was a nebula located near the planet Myrkr[3] in the Trans-Vulta sector of the Mid Rim,[1] somewhere along the space lanes between the planets Serroco and Telerath. In 3963 BBY, during the Mandalorian Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian warrior clans, Admiral Saul Karath attempted to reach the Ryyk Nebula after retreating from the Mandalorian destruction of Serroco and link his forces up with the Tremendous group in the area.[3] However, Karath never reached his destination, as his flagship, the Courageous, was boarded and destroyed.[4]

During the Imperial Period, Ryyk Nebula served as a major in starship construction for the Galactic Empire's Starfleet.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Ryyk Nebula was first mentioned in The Admiral's List: Remember Serroco! Edition, an in-universe news report appearing on the final page of Knights of the Old Republic 16, a comic written by John Jackson Miller and released in 2007.[3] The nebula was also mentioned in the reference book The Essential Atlas[5] and its online companion.[1]
