Ryern was, along with Aurell, one of two stars located in the Outer Rim Territories' Auratera system. The system contained three planets, all of which exclusively orbited Aurell, which was the larger of the two stars.[1]

Ryern was occasionally eclipsed by Aurell, and was far dimmer.[1]
