Ryen was a Cathar male Jedi Master who was assigned with his Padawan Ashara Zavros to Taris in order to help the reconstruction project during the Cold War. He was defeated by a dark spirit, who was an ancestor of Ashara; the Sith Lord Kallig subjugated the Force ghost, corrupted Ashara, and killed Ryen.

Behind the scenes

The above assumes a dark-side playthrough. In a light-side playthrough, Kallig kills Ryen and Ocera in self-defense and brings Ashara with them as an act of mercy.
