Rungs

Rungs was a large Tintinna^[1] and a patron at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina on the planet Tatooine. It was fond of the nightshift bartender Ackmena.

Behind the scenes

Rungs first appeared in The Star Wars Holiday Special, a television special that aired in 1978. The Rungs puppet was a repurposed prop from the 1976 movie, The Food of the Gods, on which Rick Baker and Tom Burman worked. Although not initially identified by name in The Star Wars Holiday Special, the Star Wars Blog article, The Star Wars Holiday Special Cantina: Who's Who identified this Tintinna as "Rungs".^[1]
